Will a Remap Fail My MOT?

Not on its own. A properly written map keeps emissions within the MOT limits. Deletes (DPF/EGR/AdBlue) are illegal and will fail.

Plenty of remapped cars pass MOTs every day. The question is whether your tuner stayed honest with emissions, or took shortcuts that the MOT tester will spot.

Are remap-related failures common? — Almost never on properly written maps. Failures we see are almost all delete-related.

Can I get a delete reversed before MOT? — Sometimes — but the hardware (DPF, EGR valve) needs to be physically present and working.
