Is this garage quote fair?

How to read a quote
Look for parts and labour listed separately, an hourly rate stated, and the job described specifically. 'Front brakes' is not a quote. 'Front pads and discs, both sides, 1.5 hours labour' is. If VAT is not mentioned, ask whether it is included.
Labour time is where the money hides. The same brake job varies by hours between models because of access, undertrays and seized fittings. That variation is genuine, but it should be explainable.
The questions worth asking
What exactly failed and can you show me? Are the parts original equipment, quality aftermarket or budget? What is the warranty on parts and labour? What happens if you find something else once it is apart? A garage that answers all four comfortably is usually a garage worth using.
