MINI tyre pressure light reset — step by step
- Inflate all four tyres cold to the values on the inside of the driver's door pillar. MINI placards differ between 'comfort' (2 occupants) and 'full load' — use comfort unless you're loaded up.
- Start the engine.
- On F-series MINIs (2014+, F55/F56/F60): centre display → Settings (cog icon) → Vehicle / CAR → Tyre Pressure → Reset.
- On R-series MINIs (R56/R60, 2007–2014): press and hold the small RDC button below the hazard switch for 5 seconds until the light flashes.
- Drive over 15mph for 5–10 minutes and the warning will clear.

If the light won't go off
MINIs are particularly prone to sensor failures on the rear wheels (more salt spray, worse exposure). If you've reset and the light comes back as a steady amber within minutes, the sensor is dead. Constant flashing for 60 seconds then steady = system fault, usually a sensor too.

MINI run-flats are notoriously sensitive to under-inflation — a 4 PSI loss feels like a flat. Set them properly with a quality gauge, don't trust the forecourt machine.
