MG tyre pressure light reset — step by step
- Set all four tyres cold to the door-pillar placard pressures.
- Switch the ignition ON, car stationary.
- On ZS, ZS EV, HS, MG4, MG5 and MG3 with the central touchscreen: Settings → Vehicle → Tyre Pressure Monitoring → Reset / Re-learn.
- Confirm the reset when the screen asks — the current pressures become the new stored baseline.
- Drive above 20mph for 10–15 minutes so all four sensors transmit.

If the light won't go off
If one wheel shows no reading at all rather than a low reading, the sensor is the problem, not the tyre. If the light returns within days of a reset with all pressures correct, look for a valve leak — spray soapy water round the valve and watch for bubbles.

MG EVs are heavier than the petrol cars they look like, so pressures matter more for tyre life. Check them cold monthly — running 4 PSI light on an MG4 will scrub the shoulders out of a set of tyres in a season.
