Mazda tyre pressure light reset — step by step
- Set all four tyres cold to the values on the driver's door pillar placard.
- Park up, switch the ignition ON but do not start the engine.
- Find the TPMS SET button — on Mazda3, Mazda6, CX-3, CX-5 and CX-30 it's a small button low on the dash to the right of the steering column, or in the glovebox on some model years.
- Press and hold it until the TPMS warning light on the dash flashes three times, then release.
- Drive normally for around 10 minutes above 20mph to complete the relearn.

On MX-5s that only come out in summer, the sensor batteries die faster than the mileage suggests — they still transmit while the car sits. If your MX-5 is 6 years old and the light appears in spring, suspect the sensors before the tyres.
