Audi's indirect TPMS compares wheel rotation via the ABS — it doesn't actually 'read' pressure. So after you've changed wheels (winter to summer), rotated tyres, or just topped them up, you MUST do the SET procedure or the system will think the new baseline is wrong.
Audi tyre pressure light reset — step by step
- Inflate all four tyres cold to the placard values (inside the fuel flap on most Audis).
- Switch ignition ON, engine off.
- On A3 8V/8Y, A4 B8/B9, A6 C7/C8, Q3, Q5, Q7 with MMI: Car → Servicing & Checks → Tyre Pressure Monitoring → Store Tyre Pressures (or 'Confirm').
- On older A3 8P, A4 B7 with the small DIS screen: use the CAR button → Servicing → Tyre Pressure → Store.
- Some 2014+ models also have a physical TPMS button on the centre console — press and hold until the buzzer sounds.
- Light should clear within 1–2 minutes. If you've just changed wheels, drive for 10 minutes for the relearn to complete fully.

Light back on within a week despite a clean SET? You've got a slow puncture or a leaking valve — Audi indirect TPMS will catch even small losses over time.
