How we handle your personal data when you book a service, request a quote or contact the workshop.
What we collect
Your name, email address and phone number when you contact us, ask for a quote or fill in a booking or reminder form, plus your vehicle registration and details so we can book the right job.
Website usage data through cookies, as set out in our Cookie Policy. For digital orders we keep your email address, the order and payment reference, payment state, purchase date, whether access was delivered, and the time and wording of the digital-content consent you gave at checkout.
How we use it
To answer enquiries, process bookings, carry out repair and maintenance work, send MOT reminders you asked for, and improve the website and our services.
For digital purchases we use your details to confirm payment, deliver secure access, resend an access link if you ask, keep accounting records and evidence the consent given at checkout.
Digital order emails and payments
An email entered for a digital purchase is used for the receipt and access delivery only. It is not added to marketing unless you separately opt in. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored by us.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. It is only passed to the services needed to do the job you asked for: the payment provider that takes your card or PayPal payment, the email and text message services that send receipts, booking confirmations and MOT reminders, and the secure hosting that runs this website and stores bookings. Parts suppliers only see vehicle details, never your contact information.
How long we keep it
Booking, job and invoice records are kept for as long as needed to stand behind the work and to meet UK accounting and tax rules. MOT reminder details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries that never become a job are cleared out once they are no longer needed. Radio code label photos are kept privately with the order and are only viewable by Bob.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email [email protected] or call 01350 727 276 and Bob will deal with it.
