A Toyota Yaris radio asks for its security code after the head unit loses its permanent live feed — a flat battery, a battery change, a jump start or the radio being unplugged. How to find the serial number:
Check the service book wallet for a code card.
Unclip the trim panel around the head unit.
Undo the four screws and draw the unit forward.
Read the serial and the 86120- part number from the casing label.
How to key the code in:
Presets 1 to 4 set the digits, or the seek arrows on rotary units.
Hold SEEK or TRACK to submit on some units.
The display returns to normal radio operation.
Worth knowing:
1999–2011: Fujitsu Ten single-DIN units with an 86120- part number on the label.
2011–2020: Panasonic and Toyota Touch units, with touchscreen systems vehicle-coded rather than audio-locked.

Why does my Yaris show ANTI-THEFT? It is Toyota's wording for the security lock. The unit needs its four-digit code before it will play again.
Do all Yaris models need a code? No. The anti-theft function is only active on some units, so many cars simply resume after a battery disconnection.
